The Sastus are a Star Race that originated from a planet in a star system extremely near to Earth - a star system that might potentially be reached by Earth’s spacecraft if we should decide to undertake the journey.
In fact, you can think of the Sastus as very close neighbours to Earth and our Solar System. They similarly think of themselves as very close neighbours to us and have been very actively engaged with Earth since the medieval period.
The Sastus have been active observers of political-governmental events on Earth since circa. 400 A.D., at the time of the late Western Roman Empire. They do this mainly from their hovercraft though they will sometimes come to the surface of the planet to watch events up close. Around 700-800 A.D, they significantly beefed up their numbers for their Earth mission as Earth was entering a period of greater political turmoil, conquest, change, and transformation. Since the 8th century, they have observed and taken extensive notes on the rise and fall of kings, queens, rulers, countries, kingdoms and empires.
Having observed our wars and politics for centuries, the Sastus find it noteworthy that the human species works with the natural and esoteric sciences (such as chemistry, physics, divinations, prophecy, etc.) primarily for the purpose of conquest rather than say, as part of our exploration of the Universe and to deepen our understanding of all there is, was and will be.
Note: This article is part of the Star Race Compendium series. If you would like to know more about this star race, you may set the intention to connect with them independently and ask them for more information about them.
